Carbon footprint news | NANOZEO platform update. Supply-chain customers increasingly ask for product-level carbon data. NANOZEO now offers an Asia Edition product carbon footprint model with an optional international database add-on that lets licensed users select up to 100 datasets in the platform model.

The Product Carbon Footprint Model (Asia Edition) is NT$6,000. The International Edition (100 datasets) is an NT$18,000 add-on and requires the base model; together they total NT$24,000. Formal platform access lasts one year. An optional system-use support service costs NT$5,000 for 12 months and includes up to 12 online consultations. Check the current NANOZEO purchase page before ordering.

A product carbon footprint starts with a functional unit and system boundary. Teams then collect material, energy, transport and waste data, select background datasets that match the geography and unit, and calculate the product's life-cycle model. Multiplying one emission factor by one activity value can miss processes or life-cycle stages. ISO 14067 provides principles and requirements for quantifying and reporting product carbon footprints.

What the platform license covers

NANOZEO offers online LCA and product carbon footprint tools. CarbonZero focuses on product carbon footprints; eFootprint supports broader LCA work, including multiple impact categories used for EPD work. The platform includes CLCD and ELCD background data. The international add-on expands the model's available data with ecoinvent datasets; ecoinvent 3.12 is the version referenced in this offer.

During the one-year platform authorization, users may revise a model under the platform rules and generate and download coefficient reports for retention and use. The 100-dataset limit applies to international datasets selected within platform models. It does not grant a separate export of the raw LCI coefficient list.

The current purchase page describes a 48-hour model revision and report-update window after the first report output; the model is locked afterward. Plan the first output and review date accordingly. A system-generated report is not itself a carbon label or third-party verification.

How to prepare for verification

Companies can work with a NANOZEO partner consultant or their own inventory consultant to apply the platform calculations and references in a general product carbon footprint report for third-party review. Some verification bodies may ask to inspect the model and data sources. We recommend keeping platform access active during verification so those records can be shown when requested. Acceptance remains the verification body's decision.

Manufacturers responding to customer product-footprint requests, and sustainability teams that have activity data but need a repeatable modeling tool, can evaluate the offer. The optional system-use support provides guidance on modeling operations; it does not include data collection, modeling on the customer's behalf, report writing or independent verification.

Frequently asked questions

Can I purchase only the 100-dataset add-on?

No. Under the current purchase-page offer, the International Edition is available only after purchasing the Product Carbon Footprint Model.

Can I download a coefficient report?

Yes. During the one-year authorization, the platform can generate coefficient reports that users may download and retain. The raw LCI coefficient list cannot be exported separately. Observe the 48-hour revision window after the first report output.

Does the platform report count as verification?

No. The platform supports calculation and reporting. Any third-party verification or carbon-label process must be arranged separately according to the applicable requirements.
